about

Boxset of 4 long-form walls of grey textured depression, dense and bleak. Released by Altar of Waste (AOW565)

From Altar of Waste:
"Utterly massive, truly bleak set of 4 massive walls from Seattle's mighty Condo Horro, a devastating sonic dissertation on the existential effects of gentrification and social/architectural/communal homogenization and eradication.
This set has been in the works for nearly two years, and I am beyond excited to finally unveil it. Condo Horro has become a project synonymous with black hole-gravity walls of monstrous density and aggressive, voluminous violence, and "4 Grey Walls" showcases those tendencies, adding an overwhelming air of exhaustion and banality. These are some seriously heavy compositions that pull the listener deeper and deeper under, until all air and space have disappeared. Devastatingly monolithic.
The packaging for this set is as intense as the walls, and really is one of the coolest AOW releases across the label's existence. Each of the four CDs are housed in their own grey cardboard sleeve, with gorgeous minimalistic decals applied to the front and back of each. The set is then bound with twine to a 6" x 6" concrete tile (it's heavy!), and packaged with an insert."
